10 Cancelled Video Games That Would Have Been Awesome

8. Redwood Falls (PS3, Xbox 360) (2005)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-eB-oCWsq4 A now defunct survival horror title from British developers Kuju; Redwood Falls was unveiled with much fanfare back in 2005. Built entirely within Unreal 3 engine Redwood Falls looked fantastic, if not the best looking game of all time (Such an accolade doesn't last long with constantly evolving graphics) The list of promises was impressive, if not a little unbelievable. Check out the official statement below: Redwood-falls-cancelled-09 A real-time first-person survival horror with cutting edge technology? How could any gamer pass that up? The promises seemed a little too grandeur. But who were we to accuse the developers of been disingenuous? This was a new generation of consoles after all. Updates on the game became less frequent. With each passing month equally impressive games were beginning to appear. New releases such as Gears Of War and Metal Gear Solid 4 displayed cutting edge graphics that surpassed what we believed possible with a games console. The once visually stunning Redwood Falls began to appear a little dated. In 2007 developer Kuju entered new management and the I.P was aborted. No word has since been heard.
