10 Celebrities You Couldn't Take Seriously In Video Games

3. Peter Dinklage - Destiny

Subservience Mortal Kombat
HBO & Bungie

On paper, Peter Dinklage seemed like an awesome choice to portray Destiny's robot AI companion Ghost, though once the game was released, fans began to question whether "Dinklebot" was such a good idea after all.

Many criticised Dinklage's emotionless, even "wooden" performance, and though some defended the monotone delivery as apt for a character who, remember, isn't human, others felt that this was merely papering over what was either poor acting or unsatisfactory direction.

Either way, the point is that Dinklage's acting choices proved distracting to many players, who spent more time debating his acting merits (or lack thereof) than discussing Ghost as a character.

Ultimately Ghost was recast with veteran voice actor Nolan North the very next year, and while fans initially speculated this was due to the fallout surrounding Dinklage's work, Bungie quite believably claimed it was more for the sake of logistics, given Dinklage's limited schedule to record more lines.
