10 Changes That Must Be Made To WWE 2K26
1. Fixing Showcase Mode Timed Objectives
Showcase mode has been a fan favourite element of the WWE 2K franchise for years. Following John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and other Hall of Famers' careers has been a fun walk down memory lane, but one piece that players can certainly do without is the timed objectives throughout those Showcase matches.
Gamers are tasked with several challenges to complete during Showcase, such as hitting finishers or executing certain moves. Timed objectives range from difficult to nearly impossible, with the difficulty increasing as WWE 2K25 features several multi-person matches, including a Money in the Bank match and WarGames.
While the timed objectives for some of the Showcase matches add a level of difficulty players may enjoy, many of them have the unintended consequence of making players want to turn the game off, even when the settings are on easy. A simple solution could be adding an option to toggle timed objectives on or off for each Showcase match. Other remedies could be adding to the length of the timers, including them only in one-on-one matches, or removing them all entirely - any of which would be a smart move for Visual Concepts going into WWE 2K26.
