10 Changes That Must Be Made To WWE 2K26

2. More Focus On NXT Stars

As the years have gone by in the Paul Levesque era of WWE, there's been an increased focus on NXT and its stars.

The black and gold brand has gone from a developmental territory to a bona fide third brand that features some of the best wrestlers in the world each Tuesday night. Unfortunately, that same focus has not translated to the WWE 2K franchise.

To the credit of the Visual Concepts team, the likes of Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer have been added as downloadable content. However, notable players like Ricky Saints, Zaria, and even NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank are just a few of the names for whom there are no plans to add to the game.

On top of that, NXT stars might be disrespected by their overall ratings in the game. With all due respect to the likes of Akam, Rezar, and Pat McAfee, they should not be equal to top NXT talents like Trick Williams and Oba Femi, all of whom share an 80 overall.

Additionally, playing through MyRise this year, the storyline has an NXT focus, but the wrestlers of NXT spend the entire storyline being punked out by the main roster.

WWE 2K26 could do a much better job showcasing NXT with the brand's own MyRise story, adding more top stars to the game, and simply giving them more of the respect they deserve.
