10 Classic Nintendo Games That NEED A Re-Release
1. The Legend Of Zelda
Given the popularity of Breath Of The Wild's open world aspects, it's a surprise a re-release of the original Legend Of Zelda hasn't happened yet.
The seminal franchise's original title is chockablock with great ideas, but is borderline unplayable today without a guide (and a map).
Super Mario Bros has been directly re-released on almost every console known to man (and has been modified for the SNES, GameBoy Advance and even had new features added in for its GameBoy Color port), and even the original Metroid title got the update treatment, making the fact there has never been a Legend Of Zelda remake all the more shocking.
A 21st century Legend Of Zelda update can capitalise on Breath Of The Wild's open world success and introduce a new generation of gamers to the title that started it all. Less linear than all subsequent entries into the franchise up until Breath Of The Wild, the original Legend Of Zelda only suffers under its technological restrictions, the NES' limited graphics making certain areas of the map extremely difficult to traverse.
An updated version of the title can fix the original Zelda's flaws while keeping much of its gameplay the same, though additional areas (and maybe even an upgraded version of the Link's Awakening port's dungeon design element) wouldn't go amiss.
2021 will mark the 35th anniversary for The Legend Of Zelda series, making it the perfect time to update the original game.
