10 Companies Who Made Their Name With Shoddy Licensed Games

5. Codemasters - Dirty Dancing

Codemasters have always had something of a reputation for dabbling with licences, with many gamers having been introduced to the company through the absolutely stellar Micro Machines titles on the Megadrive.

The key for the company has always been to maintain a high level of quality, regardless of whether they are working with a licence or developing an original property. Their work with the likes of the TOCA licence and the quality games that they attached to the Colin McRae and Brian Lara names are more than exemplary of the level of work that usually goes into their products.

The company hasn't always managed to maintain this reputation for quality though, and some of the games in their library would make any gamer doubt the company.

The Worst Game - Whoever thought that the world needed a gaming version of Dirty Dancing truly needs to have their head examined. Though Codies were more than established by the time this abomination found its way onto PCs in 2007, it is still shocking that the company would allow its name to be attached to such drivel. Featuring boring mini-games, terrible music and no actual dancing, it is a game that the company would surely prefer was better left forgotten.
