10 Console Exclusives That Desperately Need A PC Release
7. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Although Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance saw releases for the home computer in the form of physical copies, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (later updated as Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence) never saw a real PC port. With Metal Gear Rising: Revengance having hit Steam this year, Hideo Kojima expressing interest in future ports of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and a PC remake of Metal Gear in the works, there's certainly room for this masterpiece in anyone's library. Even in Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, this game only runs at thirty frames a second, like many other PlayStation 3 games. On PC where 60 fps is the norm, we could see a potentially higher frame-rate, along with enhanced visuals. The thing is, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater squeezed as much of the PlayStation 2's power as possible, allowing for an amazing production value and making for a very tricky game to emulate. Re-releasing the game on Steam could fix that, and possibly even revive its long-dead multiplayer mode.

Growing up on a healthy diet of JRPGs and point and click adventure games, young Kenny grew up playing Nintendo and Sony consoles, before becoming a snobby member of the PC Master Race. Nowadays, he resides in a time warp, refusing to believe the nineties ended as he fills up his Steam library with old point and clicks and cRPGs.
