As the shock of the "Would you kindly?" plot twist in the first BioShock starts to really settle in, you are given your first face-to-face meeting with the voice that has haunted you the entire game; Andrew Ryan. What transpires is a horrific moment of violence as the game takes your control away, playing expertly into its own twist as it forces you to watch as Jack smashes Ryan's head in with a golf club. Once you realize that taking the choice away from you is exactly what the game wanted, you begin to realize just the lengths that Levine and his team will go to make a moment. It may have enraged many games initially, feeling like player choice was completely stripped away, but it's insanely clever and actually drives home the biggest plot point in the game of free will vs. choice in such a fascinating way.
