10 Most Criminally Underrated Games Of The Last Generation

4. Vanquish

Sadly this is the second Platinum Games developed title on the list: while this game has probably been even more overlooked than Bayonetta, Vanquish is a fast paced joyride of a game. You know when you play a game and the cutscenes end up being infinitely more exciting and action packed than any of the actual gameplay? With Vanquish all the gameplay is as over the top as the cutscenes, as the frantic action throws you into the deep end on the first level and never really lets up from there. The futuristic sheen from the razor ship visuals and extremely fast paced gameplay provide the player with an adrenaline-filled cover based shooter experience that you won€™t soon forget. It€™s not every day that a third person shooter manages to somehow combine the speed of Wipeout with the ferocity of Max Payne... or even more surprising that it works so well. The incredibly fast dash mechanic contrasts with your character€™s slow-mo mechanic perfectly, creating a unique gameplay experience where you always feel completely in control of the carnage you are inflicting on screen. Disengage your brain, ignore the ridiculous story and strap yourself in for 10 hours of pure action-packed fun.
