10 Disgusting Video Game Moments No One Felt Bad About

1. Killing Bowser€™s Kids €“ Super Mario Bros. 3

Topping the bill for the best selling video game franchise of all time, the Mario series and its many spin-offs have cemented their place as a €œmust-play€ for anyone even remotely interested in gaming. Being hailed as one of the best games in history, and even being called €œthe Mona Lisa of gaming€, Super Mario Bros. 3 will forever demand a top spot in any and every game collection. Disgusting moment: There are numerous fan theories focused on exposing Mario as the actual bad guy of the series, and it€™s not hard to see why they€™ve gathered such momentum. Killing almost everything that stands in his way, even the €œenemies€ that aren€™t aggressive towards him, Mario undoubtedly leaves a trail of death and destruction in his wake. Gaming theories aside, our disgusting moment focuses on the destruction of a very specific type of enemy: the bosses of Super Mario Bros. 3. Being the children of their ruthless and tyrannical father Bowser, they are placed at the forefront of a war against his archenemy, Mario. In what in essence are child soldiers, these €œkoopalings€ are undoubtedly unaware of the severity of the situation that they find themselves in. Mario, failing to see (or choosing to ignore) the tragic situation Bowser€™s children are forced into, proceeds to kill every single one of them in his selfish pursuit of sex. Why no one felt bad: Pretty straightforward really, the koopalings from a player perspective are the enemy, and unlike other enemies they do try and attack you. Whether their motives for doing so are tragically ambiguous to them or not is never really taken into consideration €“ they attack you, so you attack them €“ life-preservation tip number one, really.
