10 Disgusting Video Game Moments No One Felt Bad About

10. Killing The Gods €“ God Of War 3

The God Of War series became an instant hit back in 2005 with the introduction of vengefully brutal super-buff Spartan, Kratos. A soldier who pretty much every player found hard to empathise with, Kratos was forever set to savagely beat his way into gaming infamy. Hell bent on taking vengeance on the Gods who betrayed him, players would follow Kratos across mythical Greece and even to the underworld and back €“ slaying beasts and mythical allusions alike left, right and centre on his rampage towards cold-blooded revenge. God Of War 3, being hailed as the very best of the series and commanding numerous gaming awards, upped the ante massively by having you face off against not one of the Gods of Olympus, but every single one of them. Disgusting moment: You effectively kill off every single God (Apart from Aphrodite €“ whom you just have sex with instead...) in the most extreme and brutally degrading ways possible (The killing, not the sex.). Everyone who followed Kratos through his journey will understand why he feels such distaste towards the Gods of Olympus, but understanding shouldn€™t be confused with condoning. Killing the Gods effectively means destroying the world, and is that really worth one man€™s (or demigod€™s) idea of justice? Why no one felt bad: The Gods actively try and kill Kratos, and therefore the Gods actively try and kill you €“ the player. A fair fight is a fair fight after all, and it€™s not like you€™re brutally killing defenceless innocents. Plus, the Gods have pretty much been massive d*cks towards Kratos up until this point, so, who would feel bad? No one €“ but when you think about what you€™re actually doing, you really should. It€™s also really hard to feel bad when your judgment of the Gods is being shrouded by the comically brutal and undignified deaths that they receive at the hands of demigod-gone-badder Kratos€ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFiv7dVkaqA ...
