10 Disgusting Video Game Moments No One Felt Bad About

9. The Last Giant €“ Dark Souls 2

Pretty much everything in the world of Dark Souls wants to kill you, and anyone who€™s given a mere five minutes of their time towards playing the games will categorically agree. Now, while there are numerously diverse and increasingly grotesque enemies saturating the games, the spotlight is fittingly reserved for the beings that command a great deal more time and effort €“ the infamous Souls€™ Bosses. And with the latest instalment of the notoriously challenging series, Dark Souls 2 brought an even bigger abundance of these bothersome behemoths to stand between you and the end credits. Disgusting moment: One of the first bosses you€™ll encounter on your undead journey resides in the heart of the Forest of Fallen Giants. And lo and behold, you guessed correctly, this boss is a giant €“ but more specifically, The Last Giant. The last of his kind of an ancient race of mountainous beings (or so you believe), and what do you do? You kill him. Why no one felt bad: With so many things trying to constantly smash your face in, it€™s hard to stop and think of others while you€™re nervously journeying around the painfully deadly world of Drangleic. Even more so when it comes to the heart-pounding tense boss battles, where one wrong move will probably result in death and the ensuing frustration of defeat. At the end of the day The Last Giant is a boss, and one that literally starts the fight by stampeding towards you with only one apparent goal: to see your insides explode out of your crippled body as he crushes you into an early grave. With something so determined to kill you, it€™s very hard for one to feel the slightest bit of guilt when they finally manage to kill off the last of an entire species. Goodbye giants, hello extinction.
