10 Disturbing Video Game Secret Areas You Regret Finding

6. UBOA - Yume Nikki

Yume Nikki is easily the most obscure game on this list, and it's already chock full of surreal and strange imagery. That makes it all the more impressive that this one secret room makes it onto the list though, because it stands out in a title that's already definitely going to haunt your nightmares.

The secret in question concerns finding the home of Uboa, a ghostly, mask-wearing shadow thing that exists in its own realm. To access it, you need to find a specific house, enter and exit it 28 times while turning the light switch on and off and then the NPC inside will reveal themselves as Uboa, as the music turns tense and the player is transported away.

You'll end up in a no man's land hellscape, wishing you left well enough alone. You might not have heard about Uboa before, but you won't be forgetting that name after this.
