10 Disturbing Video Game Secret Areas You Regret Finding

5. Weeping Angels - The Witcher 3

As anyone who has played P.T. will swear by, there's nothing creepier than the suggestion that something weird is happening just outside your view. It's these liminal spaces that are so ripe for horror, and even Dr Who got in on the action by creating the Weeping Angels, monstrous stone creatures that could only move when you weren't looking at them.

Not one to miss out on paying homage to something that will definitely put the s**ts up players, the developers of The Witcher 3 included their own nod to the angels at one particularly spooky church near Lindenvale.

It's a small area, but there are a couple of angel statues hanging around that will pop out when you investigate the small chapel. As soon as you move the camera off them, they'll jump positions, and keep doing so the longer you linger.

Fortunately they won't kill you, but not knowing their motives is perhaps worse.
