2. Deathclaws - Fallout

Deathclaws are fearsome enemies. Running into one of them at any point in your adventure across the wastes is terrifying, and finding one of them at the very beginning of the game can be crippling. Incredibly fast, incredibly strong and incredibly merciless, they can carve through a well-equipped player like butter.

Fallout 4 somewhat lessened their impact by having you fight one in the first half an hour, but they made up for that fact by allowing them to toss you about like a rag-doll, even when dressed in power armour.

And then the game decides to throw two of them your way. Over even three. And facing such odds is genuinely hopeless. Even with the highest level gear, and the most damaging weapons you'd be lucky to even stagger away with a single unit of HP.
