10 Dumbest Ways You’ve Been Sold Video Games

1. Sexing Up Ms. Pac-Man

Ms. Pac-Man, you're trying to seduce me, aren't you?

Although she was originally an attempt to get more women into video games by introducing a playable female character into the classic arcade game, somewhere along the line this noble idea took a ridiculous turn.

Because by the time spin-offs came around, advertisers had decided that Ms. Pac-Man should be sexy, doing their best to turn the character into a video game pin-up model in the process

But maybe the worst part of the whole ordeal was that it actually, probably, worked. I'm sure there were young boys all over the world who had at least a little bit of a crush on Atari's mascot, and that appeal was enough to get us to play utter tripe like Ms. Pac-Man's Maze Madness on the original PS1.

At least I hope so. It wasn't just me, right? Right?
