10 Essential PS4 Games You Must Play In 2018
5. Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life
Made available in Japan in 2016, the most recent entry in the Yakuza series has already enjoyed a heap of praise in anticipation of its worldwide March date. Returning back to the main timeline after the previous game took players into the past for a stylish prequel, the follow up chronicles main character Kiryu's release after a three-year prison stint, and his attempts to solve a mystery that occurred while he was away.
If the series' unchanging mix of exploration, minigames and punch ups doesn't get you interested, as an added bonus, Yakuza 6 also features a myriad of top-tier superstars from New Japan Pro Wrestling who are set to show up as villains. It's a perfect fit for the RPG's outrageously over-the-top combat, and it should give you a taste as to the kind of game you're getting yourself in for.
The Japanese market is more popular in the West than it has been in years, and taking into account the surprising amount of praise last year's Yakuza 0 received from players, should result in this sixth entry in the franchise being the most successful yet.
