10 Essential Video Games You Can Beat In Under 3 HOURS
6. Gorogoa - 1 Hour
Jason Roberts dreamt about creating a project that meshed interactive comics with a card game. After much deliberation, he was convinced his idea would work best as a video game. Because he had no experience, it took him six years to achieve his vision, which became known as Gorogoa.
On the surface, Gorogoa emulates the mechanics of a children's sliding puzzle. But like the best conundrums, the inner workings of this game are deceptively complex.
In each level, you adjust images in a two-by-two grid to create a complete picture. By zooming into each one, you can find a new grid puzzle, which you must also solve. Upon doing so, you must then stack and place the images in the correct order.
It may sound confusing, but Gorogoa is among the few puzzle titles that never gets frustrating. You have such a ball playing around with combinations, you don't mind in the slightest when you're left stumped.
