10 Exciting 2018 Video Games Nobody Is Talking About

1. Darksiders 3

The Last Night
THQ

Finally, after years of 'No way there's going to be a sequel' talk and a studio shutdown, Darksiders 3 is a reality at last. And even with original developer Vigil Games no longer around, new developer Gunfire Games is made up of previous Vigil employees, serving as assurance to fans that this sequel will be an authentic Darksiders experience.

The story centers around Fury who must take down the Seven Deadly Sins using her magic and all-powerful whips. Events happening in D3 take place simultaneously with the events of previous titles, allowing the game to tell its own story and newcomer-friendly without separating itself from prior installments. Thankfully, for long-time fans, the same great hack-and-slash, combat-centric gameplay makes a welcome return, albeit with some welcome improvements.

Considering the many obstacles and problems facing this project following publisher THQ's shutdown, it's amazing this game even saw the light of day. Nevertheless, it fought the odds and Darksiders 3 looks ready to add another great entry to this already severely-underrated series.

Darksiders 3 releases November 27th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
