Currently the most wish-listed game on steam, Elden Ring certainly has an enormous level of hype. It's not difficult to see why, with developer From Software having some of the most beloved, critically acclaimed games of all time under their belt. Touted as a spiritual successor to the Dark Souls franchise and with a world developed in partnership with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, this is seemingly a recipe for yet another masterpiece.
A recent network test provided a select few with the opportunity to play the beginning of this open world fantasy RPG and reviews for its gameplay, design and visuals were glowing.
With a ghostly mount which can double jump, a vast array of weaponry, miraculous magic and of course, bosses galore, it looks to be an incredible successor to one of the most influential series in all of gaming. Releasing on the 25th of February 2022, the wait is almost over to die again and again.
