8. "CLEAN UP... Register 6" - Steven (Dead Rising)

Dead Rising sticks the player in a zombie-infested mall but in true apocalypse style, the humans you encounter are far more grotesque and terrifying than any dead thing wandering the halls. Psychopaths in Dead Rising provide entertaining and memorable boss fights which have come to define the series - it's fun to mow down zombies by the thousands but it's even more fun conquering a clown wielding two mini chainsaws. In Case 2-3, Frank has to retrieve medicine from a supermarket. The only problem is, the supermarket's manager hasn't coped well with the whole 'end of the world' situation he's in. Defeating him leads to a great cutscene in which Steven, clearly very emotional, questions who will run the store when he's gone, perfectly showcasing the crazed, over-the-top characters that Dead Rising has become known for. Just before he dies, he leaps up one last time and barks "CLEAN UP! Register 6...", almost making you feel bad for having to kill a man that devoted to his job. Almost. There are plenty of memorable last words from the Dead Rising series but the bizarre, career-obsessed nature of Steven's have ensured this scene sticks long in the memory.
