10 Final Fantasy VII Moments We Can't Wait To See In The Remake
2. The Final Battle With Sephiroth
After hours of gameplay (it took me around 150 hours to get to this part as a 12 year old), finally getting the chance to take on Sephiroth and finish the game was a moment worth waiting for.
Sometimes the overall boss at the end of a game can be quite underwhelming, but that wasn't the case here. Players actually had to defeat Sephiroth three times before the game was complete, with each version of him becoming stronger and stronger. Sadly, the limitations of the Playstation and the games turn-based attack system meant it didn't look quite as epic as many gamers had hoped but that will likely change with the remake.
As mentioned before, Nomura will take visual cues from Final Fantasy: Advent Children, so while it was certainly fun trying to find out if Knights of the Round could put a significant dent in Sephiroth's hit point gauge or if we were strong enough to withstand his Super Nova special attack, it'll be way more fun having to deal with all that while taking him on in a battle that resembles the finale of Advent Children.
