10 Games That Will Inevitably Disappoint Us All In 2013

4. FIFA 2014

I don't know what it is that drives people to buy a new FIFA game every year, perhaps it's the same things that drives people to buy Call of Duty and enjoy it. I recently managed to pick up FIFA 08 through to FIFA 11 for the bargain price of £2 and after playing each one for one match I noticed the only differences were the music and some of the names. It seems people are happy to pay £50 a year for these differences which boggles my mind. Granted the company needs to make money so why not release a new game every year... but this is EA, the company that made a deal with the devil and ended up buying his soul.

Let's not turn this into a "Why EA is evil and probably has a few buildings made of pure solid gold with children's tears as running water" rant but it's getting silly now. My first FIFA game was FIFA 98 and it was wonderful, I was stuck playing it on my PC until I managed to get FIFA 2005 for the PS2. There were huge differences, most of the players were knew and the graphics has vastly improved. I then managed to get FIFA 2010 for the PS3 and once again, many differences.

I can condone buying a new FIFA game perhaps every 3-4 years, but once a year? For £50 new? it's ludicrous. I've even checked out a few forums and noticed how people are claiming that FIFA 13 is terrible and FIFA 12 is vastly superior? How?! Yeh the music's different but you can just mute the music and listen to something else. Of course people are going to buy FIFA 14 and people are going to love or hate it, but I'm putting my money on 2013 being the year that people decide to give EA the finger and not buy FIFA 14. Of course I'll probably be wrong and EA will just buy the world and share it with Apple it 2014, if so, see you all in the labour camps/coffee shops where we'll be typing up our screenplays.
