10 Gaming's Biggest Issues Everyone Is Ignoring

1. Games Being Released Broken

By far the biggest issue plaguing video games today is the abysmal state which many titles are released in.

While it’s normal to experience some glitches and bugs in a game, especially during the first few weeks of release while developers patch out what the QA testers missed, the quality of what’s being released has drastically slipped. Whereas a few years ago, most titles were functional on day one, many are being pushed out the door in a borderline unplayable state.

The horrendous state of Cyberpunk 2077’s launch should have been the wake-up call to tell publishers to keep projects in the oven for a little longer if necessary. However, things seem to have only got worse in the proceeding years, with recent titles Redfall, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum all falling far short of acceptable.

Plagued with performance issues, scores of game-breaking bugs, and an overall lack of polish, each launch proved so bad that the respective developers issued an apology for their games.

Waiting weeks for games to be playable only serves to stop people from getting excited about new releases. That's not good for players or developers.
