10 Great Actors Hidden In Your Video Games

8. Michael Madsen - The Walking Dead

Michael Madsen has made a solid career out of Tarantino and Tarantino adjacent projects, featuring in the likes of Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs and Sin City. When he wasn’t part of cool, blood soaked tales of death and revenge though, he found time for video games.

Grand Theft Auto III, Yakuza and Narc have all featured Madsen, while he appeared in True Crime: Streets Of LA and Driver 3 alongside the previously mentioned Michelle Rodriguez. He too has seen himself typecasted and his career stall, so he and Rodriguez share a fair few similarities.

It’s The Walking Dead he’s here representing, with Madsen playing William Carver in Season Two. The Walking Dead was arguably Telltale’s best game in their short but sweet stint as the point and click kings.

Season Two, Madsen’s season, sees control pass from Lee to Clementine, and as such the first episode is one of the most fondly remembered pieces Telltale ever put out. Carver himself doesn’t appear until episode two, but he remains a key part of Clementine’s journey.

He’s the first real living antagonist Clementine faces, at least while you’re in control of her, and Madsen does a terrific job.
