10 Greatest Games Ever Released On XBOX 360

4. Assassin's Creed II

There's just something about Italy in the 1400s... Assassins Creed II was the perfect game: for fans of the first game and for new people to the franchise. Assassins Creed II saw you dwell into the memories of Florentine nobleman, Ezio Auditore Da Firenze, a young teenager in the Italian Renaissance, getting into scraps and getting into women too. Ubisoft had pulled out all the stops with this new game. It hit Xbox like a brick to glass, and that was the sheer detail Ubisoft had poured into it. Anyone who has played the first sequence of the game around Florence, knows exactly what I mean. Ubisoft had created a photo perfect Italy. Its rooftops were your playground, its streets were your battleground. The Renaissance was so well depicted, being one of the best historical settings you will ever find in a game from the last 10 years. Oh the memories of the Venetian festivities. But what really tied Assassins Creed II together was the story. I have never played a game that has made me go, "Wow. Thats just, beautiful". It had an heavy element on personal greif and vendetta, and over this, overhung the ancient Assassin/Templar war. The game went on to take you to more of Italy and more beautiful detailled locations, and meeting more and more memorable characters. We stuck with Ezio for a couple more games and finally said goodbye to him last year. If you have played Assassins Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations, just quickly watch this below video, and think about how much Ezio went through, who he met, what he did, how he suffered, and think of that rooftop, where it all began... Assassin's Creed II started it all for Ezio, and made Assassins Creed at large what it is. http://youtu.be/-EoOojQkwOw
