1. Shenmue III
The two Shenmue games are two of the best video games ever made, boasting an epic, sweeping story that captured the imagination of players the world over, and given the cliffhanger at the end of the second game, fans were eagerly anticipating the third and presumably final entry into the saga. The problem is that after the first two games not selling amazingly well - the second game especially - SEGA are reluctant to pony up the cash for a game that might just be a commercial flop. Designer Yu Suzuki insists that he will probably be allowed to make the game one day, though I think it's best to be pessimistic about this one's development. There has been talk in recent weeks of getting a Kickstarter campaign started for Shenmue 3, though this would rely on SEGA authorising such a move. If they do, you can bet I'll be gladly contributing some money to the cause, though as I say, given that Shenmue 2 was first released over a decade ago, it's best not to count on anything happening.
