If you weren't in an era of Pokémon being popular - or simply ducked the trend for whatever reason - it's worth explaining this to you right away: shiny Pokémon are a big deal.

This is because you've a random chance of any wild Pokémon you come across in any of the games being shiny, and thus in different, jazzier colours - which doesn't sound like a big deal, but especially when you're a kid, is absolutely cool as hell.

Regardless of age, though, having a shiny Celebi appear to help you out in the second instalment of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon was massively exciting - largely because it appeared this shiny legendary Pokémon was going to be a party acquisition without the crazy hours you'd otherwise need to find and get one.

As it stands, the Celebi is off as soon as it arrived, and you're left a little bit heartbroken that you don't get a bright pink addition to your roster.
