When Elden Ring debuted in 2022, Malenia was instantly recognised as one of the hardest bosses, not just from FromSoftware, but all of gaming.

But when the Shadow of the Erdtree launched two years later, Radahn said, "Hold my beer." Though this supreme warrior put up one hell of a fight in the main campaign, he took things to another level in the expansion. At the end of the DLC, The Tarnished must face off against this towering soldier again, under his new moniker, The Promised Consort Radahn.

Basically, Radahn has every irritating technique you can think of, including massive hit boxes, teleportation, varied hit timing, spamming magic attacks, patternless combos, and insta-kills. 

Summoning for assistance compels him to heal, so it's best to go into this battle alone. He has a heavy resistance to most manoeuvres, so the biggest onslaught imaginable will have little effect on him.

And that's if you hit him. He moves so fast and spends half the bout in the air, so landing a single blow on him is a pain. 

He also has this infuriating strategy where he strikes most of the arena in lightning beams. Even if you manage to dodge the lasers, you're momentarily blinded by the light, making it easy for Radahn to get in a free hit.

Although Malenia was an absolute beast, Radahn's final form is something else entirely.
