10 Hardest Bosses Of The Decade (So Far)

2. Gna - God Of War: Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok offers some seriously imposing bosses, including Heimdall, Thor, and Odin. However, the main campaign is a cakewalk compared to tangling with the secret superbosses, like the Berserker King and The Everlasting Dragon.

And who could forget about Gna. The Valkyrie Queen is basically an overpowered version of God of War's Sigrun (who was already ridiculously overpowered).

Firstly, don't bother with this confrontation unless Kratos is fully levelled up and harbours all the best equipment. And if you haven't mastered parry, the chances of emerging victorious are non-existent.

Even if parrying comes second-nature, taking down this villainous Vanir is daunting. The few telegraphed moves she has are borderline unavoidable. She grapples Kratos every chance she gets, so you have to mash like there's no tomorrow to break free.

You need to keep switching from sound arrows to sigil arrows to counter her, depending on what technique she's using. And while you're busy switching arrows, Gna will use the opportunity to deliver a siege of pain on the Greek demi-god.

However, Gna's greatest strength is her unpredictability. Not only does her combos have no pattern to memorise, the effectiveness of her manoeuvres widely varies. A specific technique may be blockable one moment, but then not the next time. As such, you can't tell whether to block, dodge, or parry, even when you know what attack is coming.

The Wind Goddess is unrealistically hard, to the point where players might be under the impression they're using the wrong method to beat her.

But that's not the case. In order to win, you just have to be really, really, really good.
