9. Demon Metro
Its hard to mention anything fun about the Metro series. Thats not to say its bad, instead its one of the best of the last generation, but that doesnt mean that its a pleasant experience. This is made so much more obvious when a demon attacks. These gargoyles are fast, mean and dont have any amusing songs about A Guy Like You. Instead they just rip your throat out. Nothing about post apocalyptic Moscow is practically easy, with electro-death-balls roaming the tunnels, creepy ghost shadows blocking your way and all manner of bandits, nazis and monsters hunting you down. But all of these other threats pale in comparison to these nuclear pigeons, swooping down whenever they damn well please. They're so tough that its never actually required to kill one of them, allowing the player to simply run away rather then face them. Unfortunately though, that doesn't mean you won't be caught out by them again and again as you scuttle between ruined buildings.
