The first title in this series came out in 2016 and it was a surprise hit. The game ties together a tale of police and government corruption with polygonal cutscenes, optional dialogue, and addictive strategy gameplay.

For an example of gameplay, as the chief of police, Jack Boyd, you need to hire a new officer for the dangerous night shift, but the mayor wants you to hire his incompetent son. Do you hire the son and risk screwing up your missions? Or hire the right man for the job and incur the wrath of the mayor who, in turn, won't have your back the next time there's some public outcry? That's This Is The Police in a nutshell.

The second game turns the dial up another level, carrying on the story of the first, but adding in more interactive police raids and upping the difficulty level. If you like resource management games, then this is a great title that's hard to put down. Great for on-the-go.
