10 Hilariously Cringe-Worthy Moments That Embarrassed Every Gamer

8. Trying To Find Meryl's Codec Frequency For Hours

Meryls Codec I was having an absolute blast playing Metal Gear Solid when I first got it for the PS One. It was bloody awesome. Then I found myself quite suddenly with literally nothing to do. I knew where I had to go (through a big locked door), but there was absolutely no way of opening it. I vaguely remembered the fact that a character had mentioned calling someone through the Codec using a number on a CD case, but a brief browse through my items revealed I simply didn't have a CD case. Cue about four hours worth or wandering around everywhere I'd been previously willing something to happen. It was only a few days later, when I read a gaming magazine (remember those?) that I found out that the Codec frequency I needed was actually on the back of the games' CD case. I then proceeded to beat my head off the desk.
