10 Horror Video Games You Forgot Existed
4. Clock Tower
Point and click games were all the rage at one point in time, with many classic games coming out of this genre including Grim Fandango and The Secret of Monkey Island but here we have a horror take on this format with Clock Tower.
Clock Tower begins with an orphan named Jennifer being adopted by the Barrows family alongside some other orphaned girls and taken back to their enormous manor house. Soon after, a boy brandishing an enormous pair of scissors murders one of the girls and proceeds to pursue you throughout the course of the game, toying with Jennifer before killing her if caught.
This boy is actually the youngest son of the family, Bobby Barrows but he is referred to as the Scissorman. Throughout the game, you'll evade the stalker, explore the manor house and interact with items in an effort to escape and see one of the game's eight unique endings.
If the Scissorman catches you, Jennifer will be sent into a panic and you will need to repeatedly tap a button to struggle with the pursuer, resulting in death if not done fast enough.
