10 Horror Villains That Don't Stop Chasing You

8. Clock Tower - Scissorman

The Clock Tower games are living proof that horror games aren't defined by their graphics or technical capacity, with the Scissorman being a fine example of that.

Going as far back as 1995, the Scissorman's debut in Clock Tower cemented his reputation as a terrifying stalker... which I'd imagine was helped by the giant pair of scissors, funnily enough.

Stalking our heroine throughout her journey, even if you think you're taking the easy way out at the start, the Scissorman stops at nothing to catch his victims.

Much like Ghostface from the Scream franchise, the identity of the Scissorman can vary. But one thing is for certain: that dread, that fear inducing feeling that he's coming after you, always remains.

Admittedly, the impact was somewhat lessened in Clock Tower 3, when the Scissormen resembled jesters over the ominous, cloak wearing motif, but we don't talk about that.

The first few incarnations were sinister enough to carry the franchise, as the fear of those giant blades closing in on you was enough to give you the shivers.

Honestly, I still flinch when I get my hair cut.
