10 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games You Probably Won't Get To Play This Generation

Look, no matter how much Kojima is peddling the line that his upcoming game, Death Stranding, will be released before the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, we’ve got to call BS. Metal Gear Solid V was announced three years before it eventually hit store shelves, and that’s an already established franchise with already existing assets, characters and narratives that don’t have to be thought up from scratch.

Death Stranding on the other hand didn’t even have its engine decided until a few months ago, with its original teaser trailer running on one of two that the director had in mind to use for the final product.

I want to see Kojima’s new game as soon as possible but let’s face it: the guy’s a bit of a perfectionist. It takes him years to get his games as good and as polished as they are, and considering the fact that he’s starting from scratch on a brand new idea, there’s not a chance in hell that we'll get to see the result of his hard work this generation.
