10 Huge 2016 Video Game Rumours You're Not Supposed To Know

7. A New Rockstar Property/Red Dead Rebellion/Bully 2

Every two-three years, we get a new Rockstar game, and although GTA V was a landmark achievement for world-building and immersion, personally I favour the studio's other titles like Bully and Red Dead Redemption. Red Dead in particular showed the team flexing their narrative muscles, turning the general idea of a game's finale on its head as you opted to seek out the final mission, motivated by one of the most palpable senses of revenge in gaming history. For L.A. Noire they helped co-developer Team Bondi bring everything to life, and although that game fell down from some scattershot interrogation scenes, alongside Max Payne 3 it showed that when they try their hand at a completely different game stylistically, there's no one better. Likelihood? 6/10 Right now Rockstar are still supporting and pushing GTA Online, V's tie-in mode. It'll take essentially all of their resources to put together another game (although considering how lengthy the average game dev time is, something should be underway as we speak), but that said, their size has grown considerably since GTA III changed the world, and if all of 2016 goes by without one iota of new info, it'll be the biggest gap they've had between announcements in their career. Announced-then-forgotten game Agent could still exist in some form, as could further confirmation of their plans for GTA VI. Let us know in the comments whether you want a whole new game, or a sequel to one of their established franchises instead.
