10 Iconic Video Games That Could Be Made Perfect With Remakes
6. Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver
Considered by most to be the best entry in the Legacy of Kain series, Soul Reaver (headed up by a pre-Uncharted fame Amy Hennig) was a brilliant gothic vampire title that hit the PS1 in the late '90s. Adopting a nightmarish art style that perfectly echoed the horrific fantasy narrative of the game's anti-hero Raziel, the series captured the imagination of players thanks to this brooding action-adventure title.
And although the hack-and-slash gameplay wasn't revolutionary at the time, the different abilities the title imbued you with, particularly the focus on the spectral realm that players could enter to solve puzzles and access different parts of the level, complemented the off-kilter design and awarded the game with a deep sense of character it otherwise may have lacked.
For years fans have been clamouring for a return to this beloved franchise, and a full remake of this cult classic could prove that there's enough interest to justify a brand new sequel.
