4. Knights Of The Old Republic II
While it received plenty of scorn when it followed Bioware's seminal Star Wars RPG in the early 2000s, Obsidian's misunderstood follow-up has slowly become a fan favourite over time, and has been viewed in retrospect as being just as great - if not even better - than the excellent first title that preceded it.
However if you do go back and play the sequel it becomes clear that Obsidian's original vision for the game didn't quite match up with the finished product, as many of the narrative threads and gameplay features come across as either clearly rushed or outright unfinished.
The game's community has tried to patch up the sequel since its initial release, introducing a wealth of fixes and even implementing some of the cut content that Obsidian was unable to finish before release, but in many cases this has only left fans still pondering over what could have been.
The developers simply weren't given enough time to execute all of their ideas, and while the potential of the title is still evident in the game today, the true vision of Knights of the Old Republic II deserves to explored with a full remake.
