10 Iconic Video Games That Must Come To PlayStation VR
7. Mirror's Edge
VR sickness is a pretty prevalent issue in this first wave of consumer-ready VR products. Some people experience a churning feeling in their stomach when their eyes are tricked into believing their body is moving - when really, it isn't. Mirror's Edge would definitely have to overcome this issue, but if it did, there's no denying it would be spectacular.
Mirror's Edge has always had a cool premise. Free-running in first-person across a canopy of sleek, shimmering rooftops while looking down at the sprawling city miles beneath you was breath-taking, even if the game itself wasn't great. With PS VR, developers are able to create a real sense of height and scale, so much so that you can actually peer over the edges of platforms you're standing on.
Mirror's Edge would undeniably present issues - the overall manic nature of the camera due to the free-running, the dizzying heights that VR would create and the speed of the game all come together to make one hell of a recipe for sickness. However, down the line when developers get a better grasp of the technology, Mirror's Edge could easily offer one of the most compelling, frightening and thrilling VR worlds.
