10 Immensely Satisfying Video Game Moments

By the time we reach the mountains near Colorado, The Last of Us' Ellie is stuck caring for the dying Joel and encounters one of our favourite voice actors (Nolan North) and his character David. A few discussions and skirmishes later and Ellie has led David and his cannibalistic hoard away from Joel, but still sees it important to kill at least sidekick James.

Further disagreements lead to David cornering Ellie in a burning restaurant and things look really rather bleak - will Joel survive, can Ellie work her way out of being eaten by gaming's most bizarre anti-hero ever?

As it transpires; Joel recovers miraculously and Ellie treats us to yet another of gaming's most satisfying moments - hacking David in the head, several times, with his own Machete is such a rush of satisfaction that surely most of us needed to sit back during the cutscene and simply embrace the enjoyment.

Part of me hopes David was eaten; the rest of me really doesn't care about his fate.
