FromSoft games are known for their esoteric approach to storytelling, with major lore and story beats pieced together in item descriptions, context clues, and other discoverable elements. As such, the studio's monumental RPG Elden Ring comes complete with many revelations that could make it onto this list. However, perhaps the most earth-shattering (pun intended) of them all is the shocking connection between Radadon and Queen Marika. 

Even those who often struggle with the cryptic nature of Hidetaka Miyazaki's games can piece together that Marika is the divine ruler of The Golden Order, as she's constantly referenced throughout The Lands Between. Radagon is equally inescapable, as he's a figure often brought up by NPCs and established as Marika's second husband.

However, what is less clear without proper investigation is that they're, technically, the same person. 

Yes, Radagon is Marika's male counterpart, which takes the phrase love yourself to a whole new level. In typical FromSoftware fashion, this major plot twist is never explicitly stated, with only vague allusions scattered throughout the world. For example, using the Law of Regression incantation on a Radagon statue in Leyndell will transform it into Marika, establishing them as separate but one.
