Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is best known for its nemesis system, which allows you to build long-lasting rivalries (and sometimes friendships) with Mordor's orcs.

However, the game also used to feature another pretty ingenious rivalry system called online vendetta.

Basically, on top of you starting beef with random Uruks, other players could also cause you to make enemies through their personal campaigns.

When the online vendetta was still in place, whenever other players were slain by an orc, that very same orc could appear in your game if you were connected to the internet. The orc would be marked with a bounty of sorts, and if you managed to kill him, the game would reward you for avenging your fellow player with bonus experience and resources.

The system was a pretty fun way of earning a few extra goodies while also providing you with more interesting targets for assassination. Unfortunately, WB decided to shut it down in recent years, which is why you can't really experience it anymore.

There is technically an offline alternative in place; however, it cannot compare to the satisfaction of taking on an orc that was specifically transferred from a different game in order for you to punish him!
