10 Incredible Video Game Intros (That Made You Stop Playing The Second Time Around)

2. Just Get On With It! - Fallout 4

Fallout 4's intro comes with an immersive depiction of the main character's Pre-War life, which has never been done in the history of the franchise.

The first time you play it, the ability to move around in Fallout's world before the bombs fell feels absolutely amazing.

After though, Fallout 4 suffers from the same problem as Skyrim, in that it's a title where the player wants to create multiple characters, but each time they have to sit through a sequence that either doesn't let them do anything but watch, or takes way too much time tutorializing instead of letting you do your own thing.

To get from your cushy Americana life to the post-apocalyptic landscape of the Commonwealth, you have to invest at least half an hour, and most of it will be spent staring at the screen while all the NPCs play out their scenes in front of you.

The biggest offender is easily the scene with Kellogg breaking into the vault, as it lasts a good few minutes while you're just trapped in a pod.
