10 Intense Video Game Achievements Worth NOTHING
6. Vidmaster Challenge: Annual Achievement - Halo 3
After smashing apart the face of someone's armor with an Energy Sword, or filling a pesky blue-suited menace full of needlers before laughing as they explode, you might begin to fancy yourself as a true Spartan Warrior.
Well, my friends, it is here, on the path to being the ultimate slayer, that you should probably stop, because being able to enjoy the almighty Halo 3 truly is it's own reward. However, if you want to punish yourself for literally NO reward then the Vidmaster Challenges awaits you.
This series of challenges were spread across the franchise starting in Halo 3, before appearing in ODST and the Halo Wars games, and asked you and sometimes a group of friends to do some truly ridiculous things. The best (or worst depending on how you look at it) was the Annual Challenge from Halo 3 which tasked you with completing the final level of the game, on legendary, as a group of 4, with the Iron Skull active and having everyone finish the game in Ghosts.
That....that's a long list of requirements right? Well to add spice to the mix, the Iron Skull kicks you all back to the last checkpoint if one of the team dies. Rough! Still, at least you've got that meaty ZERO-G achievement waiting for you on the other side.
Is it worth it? Probably not. Is it still ludicrous amounts of fun? You betcha.
