Now, there's nobody in the assorted cast you'll recruit for Darkest Dungeon who looks like peaches and roses. Everyone looks a little creepy, not to mention like they haven't bathed in a month between them.

But some are scarier than most, and by some I mean the Abomination. There's more than a small clue in that this figure might be a little different to the rest of the roster, in the form of a huge letter A branded over the side of his head.

As it turns out, this brand has been given to our poor teammate because he is able to transform into a terrifying demonic beast - as though he wasn't intimidating enough before. While this creature is immensely powerful, having it in your party erodes the sanity of the rest of your team, because they've just seen their pal turn into Satan and now are having to hang out near him while not sure if he'll eat them.

The human Abomination is a friendly sort of guy, so you end up feeling kind of bad for him most of the time - even if you're also understandably unsettled by his monstrous potential.
