10 Intimidating Video Game Characters We're Glad Were On Our Side!

4. Raven - Guilty Gear

Since Raven can't die, and has lived for longer than even he can now remember, it's safe to say that he's intimidating just in terms of sheer durability. If atomic bombs were dropped on the entire of this world, the only things that would definitely survive are cockroaches, Raven, and possibly Twinkies (if this universe has them, of course).

Add to this the fact that the dude loves pain, and you're in for a legitimately terrifying character. Since pain is one of the few things Raven can still feel, he's turned into a borderline masochist, which could have easily led to him becoming a straight up remorseless serial killer solely looking for fights that will let him feel something again.

Instead, the Raven we get - while still pretty scary - is a much more thoughtful individual than his backstory might suggest. Despite the fact he's been alive for long enough that you'd understand him becoming uncaring about the plights of humanity, he still wants to better the world.

As inspiring as that is, don't let it make you forget that, if things had turned out differently, our boy Raven here could have destroyed half of humanity just to get close to feeling an emotion.
