In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Bowser has stolen the power of the Grand Stars, causing him to grow exponentially in size. Throughout the game, you must face your nemesis three times. In these encounters, Bowser flies through space while trying to punch and incinerate Mario, who is harbouring a small planetoid.

When you defeat him for the third time, the overgrown dinosaur spits out the Grand Star before vanishing. At first, you might be upset how easy the battle was. As you are about to collect the Star, Bowser appears, bigger than ever and initiates the true final fight.

As he blasts Mario into the void, the epic choral music kicks in, implying this is going to the mother of all battles. After all, how can flying through the cosmos while battling a King Kong-sized Bowser be anything but awesome?

Sadly, this is the easiest boss in the game. His only form of attack is to smash you with a telegraphed punch. Even if you get hit, you can replenish your health with the endless supply of coins left over from smashed planetoids. After you knock a meteorite into the supersized turtle four times, the anticlimactic fight is over.
