10 Legendary Games Nintendo Must Bring To Mobile Phones

6. Donkey Kong

One of Nintendo€™s oldest franchises could be one of the most suitable for the relatively new medium of mobile gaming. Whether it€™s the classic side-scrolling action of the Donkey Kong Country series or the arcade original, chances are Nintendo€™s great ape would be a success. Many smartphone games are based around high scores, which would suggest the original arcade game is likely to be a hit, and despite only boasting four different stages, the game gets more and more difficult by gradually increasing its speed as players progress. Although gamers usually demand an authentic port, Nintendo probably won't want to keep the game-breaking glitch that hampered the original version when players got to level 22 - but the less said about that, the better. On the other hand, if they want to go down the in-app purchases route, the Donkey Kong Country series also offers plenty of DLC opportunities. In particular, it could be a good way of re-acquainting the video game community with DK's more obscure cast mates, including Swanky Kong and Chunky Kong for example.
