10 Lesser Known Video Games That Should Be Remade
7. Twilight Syndrome: Search
Twilight Syndrome is one of those games that is simultaneously obscure as hell, and also incredibly important in the creation of several iconic games.
it was created by Suda51, the beloved lunatic who created the likes of No More Heroes and Killer7, which you may note are both wildly surreal and wonderful games.
Twilight Syndrome is a series that is relatively unknown despite its famous creator for several reasons, but the most crucial of which is that it never saw release outside of Japan, naturally limiting its audience and reception.
While this is understandable - it was being released before Suda was a big name, and therefore was a risk - remaking it wouldn't present the same dangers. After becoming an iconic gaming creator, the series would sell simply by Suda51's name being attached - even though he wasn't involved in the creation of the final two games.
But with each game receiving some fairly glowing reviews from those who played them, it seems only logical to now extend this potential delight to larger audiences.
Suda51 has expressed concerns that audiences outside of Japan wouldn't understand the game to the same degree, but it seems worth at least testing these water by releasing a remake of the first instalment into the series.
